Terms of Service

1. Acceptance

By using Guest Note Club ("GuestNote", "the Service"), you agree to these Terms of Service. If you do not agree, do not use the app.

2. The Service

GuestNote is a certified review platform for hospitality. Guests can leave verified reviews for hotels, restaurants, bars, and other properties. Hosts can receive and respond to certified feedback from verified guests.

3. Accounts

You must sign in with Apple (iOS) or Google (Android) to publish content.
You are responsible for all activity under your account.
You may delete your account at any time from Settings. This anonymizes your reviews and deletes your personal data.

4. Guest Responsibilities

Honest reviews: Your reviews must reflect your genuine experience. Fake, paid, or retaliatory reviews are prohibited.
On-site verification: Certified reviews require Wi-Fi verification proving you are physically present. Attempting to spoof or circumvent verification is prohibited.
Photos: Only capture photos through the in-app camera. Do not photograph other guests or staff without consent. Do not upload illegal, obscene, or harassing content.
No blackmail: Threatening a host with a negative review in exchange for benefits (discounts, free services, upgrades) is strictly prohibited and may result in account termination.

5. Host Responsibilities

Accurate property information: Property details, Wi-Fi configuration, and perk menus must be accurate.
Respectful responses: Host responses must be professional and constructive.
No review manipulation: Offering incentives for positive reviews, pressuring guests to change reviews, or creating fake guest accounts is prohibited.

6. Subscriptions

Guest features are free forever.
Host features require a paid subscription (Basic or Pro). Additional multi-property tiers may be offered in future releases.
All plans include a 14-day free trial. You will not be charged during the trial period.
Subscriptions auto-renew unless cancelled at least 24 hours before the end of the current period.
Subscriptions are managed through the App Store. Apple's payment terms apply.
No refunds for partial subscription periods, except as required by applicable law.

7. Intellectual Property

You retain ownership of your reviews, photos, and content.
By submitting content, you grant GuestNote a non-exclusive, worldwide license to display, translate, and distribute your content within the Service (i.e., to your followers and to property hosts).
GuestNote's name, logo, design, and software are our intellectual property.

8. Privacy

Your use of the Service is also governed by our Privacy Policy. Reviews are private by default — visible only to the host and your followers.

9. Prohibited Conduct

You may not:

Create multiple accounts or impersonate others.
Harass, threaten, or defame other users or property staff.
Attempt to reverse-engineer, scrape, or access the Service by automated means.
Use the Service for any illegal purpose.

10. Content Moderation

We may remove content that violates these Terms and suspend or terminate accounts engaged in prohibited conduct. We aim to act fairly and will notify you of any action taken.

11. Limitation of Liability

The Service is provided "as is" without warranties of any kind. To the maximum extent permitted by law, GuestNote shall not be liable for indirect, incidental, or consequential damages arising from your use of the Service.

12. Governing Law

These Terms are governed by the laws of France. Disputes shall be resolved in the courts of Paris, France, except where consumer protection law provides otherwise.

13. Changes

We may modify these Terms. Material changes will be communicated via the app at least 30 days before taking effect. Continued use after changes constitutes acceptance.
